On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Top - New Look
Skirt - New Look
Shoes - New Look
Bag - Primark

So couldn't think of a title for the post, then realised it was a Wednesday!! Although if I am completely honest this is not an outfit I would wear on an Wednesday, purely for the reason that I do not go out on work nights and this is something I would wear on the weekend to town for cocktails with the girls.
Also apologies for the photos, looking back at them now I've realised that the camera has made the co-ord look all psychedelic which is not it just has thin black stripes through the pink.
So anyway going on to the fabulous co-ord, this one is from New Look, who are just killing at the moment with their co-ords. As you can tell I love this style of a pencil skirt with a crop top I think it makes it quite sophisticated as there is no apparent mid drift on show but would get a cheeky glimpse now and again. the quality of both the top and the skirt are lovely, nice and thick and the top has a black lining material which I think is great.
I have kept this simple and just paid with a plain black pair of patent pointed court heels, I think every girl should have a pair of these in her wardrobe as they just go with everything prefect for nights out, job interviews or making a casual outfit look smarter. I have also added my trusted black clutch bag from Primark because as you can tell I just love a big clutch, I am one of these people that goes out with the kitchen sink!! haha

Again thanks for reading, would love to hear any comments and feedback :)

Trousers - Missguided
Crop - New Look
Jacket - New Look
Trainers - Converse
Heels - New Look

So some of you may recognise these trousers from my previous blog post found here. I thought this time I would show you a more casual day time look with these as they are just so versatile. This outfit it prefect for those summer days where is not so bright or warm. The trousers are really light weight and comfortable to wear and I've paired it with a white crop top to keep it summery. Add a denim jacket over the top for a dress down look and keep away any chill. I personally think every girl should have a denim jacket in her wardrobe, they are a god send for summer evenings. I got mine from new look a few month backs but so many of the high-street stores are doing them I'm sure you will find one :)
Lastly to keep the outfit super casual and comfy I've added my converses just because I love them and I literally wear them with everything during the day. For a more dressed up/evening look add these amazing cleated gladiator strap style platforms and you are sure to get compliments. Again I got mine from new look but they are literally everywhere at the moment, have a good search online at chockers or my1stwish if you want them cheaper, I just went for the new look ones as I couldn't find anywhere else with my size.

Once again thanks for reading, would love to know what outfits you are wearing for casual summer/cloudy days :)

Top - New Look

Shoes - New Look

If you are looking for a going outfit that makes you stand out from the crowd then look no further. This co-ord set from new look is bang on trend and the funky watermelon print is everywhere right now and is just a bit of fun :)
I just love a co-ord set, there are so many out at the moment from shorts and t-shirts to trousers and jumpers but I think a good crop top and pencil skirt is just prefect for a night out with the girls. I've kept mine simple with a black clutch bag and chunky black heels as with the vibrant print i don't think you need to add much to the co-ord
this is super comfy to wear as such a light weight material and i think it is really flattering on and accentuates your curves in all the right places

What co-ord sets are you loving at the moment? Are there any funky prints that you have found?

Thanks for reading

British Summertime Festival

So on Sunday my sister, her friend and I travelled to Hyde Park, London to attend the British summertime festival hosted by Barclay card to see Mcbusted, Backstreet boys the vamps and more.
we set off Sunday morning in my sisters car, driving to east London to get to our hotel.

We stayed in a ibis budget hotel, which was super cheap and had rooms for 3 people which we really struggled to find. you can find the hotel here, if you are looking for a really cheap night sleep for one night this is prefect. the room had one double bed with a bunk bed  horizontally over the top. This was the first budget hotel I had stayed in and was shocked to find that the toilet sink and shower were all separate, but as I said for just one night you don't need anything fancy.

When we finally got to the hotel, which took a lot longer than anticipated as the sat nav we had was rubbish so had to use my phone (which drained all my battery) we dumped our bags changed into shorts and t-shirts as it was such a lovely day and we were off to get the tube.

As we were staying in East London we got the DLR to canning town and then the jubilee to Hyde park corner. anybody that hasn't used the tubes before don't be alarmed, they are so easy to use there are tube maps on all the walls, just make sure you are going in the right direction :p

Finally we were at Hyde park just in time for scouting for girls. it was super super busy but such a great vibe as everyone was just enjoying themselves. first thing was first to get some food, for lunch we chose to get burgers and chips, which was a little pricey £6 for a burger and £3 for chips but we were so hungry from our travelling we didn't care. there was so many different foods to chose from as well even the fussiest of eaters would of found something, from juice bars for the health enthusiast to fish and chips for the traditionalist. once we finished our food we got ourselves some drinks from the cute little bar stalls and enjoyed the music and festivities. One thing I love about festivals is the fashion I literally was getting such great style inspo from every girl that walked past I could of quite happily just sat there all day and night just looking at what everyone was wearing, cute little shorts with wellies to lovely maxi dresses with sandals I was in fashion heaven :)

By the time backstreet boys come on we were giddy with excitement, this was a childhood dream come true and they were just amazing, they still had all the dance moves that lets be honest was all we wanted to see. they play all their old classic starting with the call and ending with everybody. it didn't completely tip it down with rain half way through their set but that didn't stop anybody from having a good time.

Unfortunately I thought it would be good idea to just take a hoodie rather than a rain mac as I was convinced it was going to rain. oh how wrong I was I got so wet my shoes didn't dry out for 2 days.
so after the enjoyment of the backstreet boys we just needed to wait for the main act Mcbusted, while we were waiting we got some dinner we try out a cute little Indian stall and got chicken tikka wraps and spicy wedges which were absolutely delicious and then it was time for the finale and they did not disappoint.

We had already seen Mcbusted earlier in the year in our home town but this was 100 times better, the performances were tighter their dialogue between the songs was funnier and the production was outstanding, from fireworks to spaceships in the middle of the crowd. by far the best gig I have been to and just didn't want it to end.

When it did finish it was a quick rush to get out of the park and to the tube station because as you can imagine thousands of people all trying to exit in the same direction is not fun. we managed to get to the tubes quickly enough we didn't miss the last ones on the DLR and we were back to the hotel. a nights sleep and we were up and out by 8:30 bright and early to miss the tour de France and we did not want to get stuck in that trying to get out of London.

And that was our little weekend trip to London, lots of fun and a great day out :)

Thanks for reading, hope you liked my first lifestyle post will hopefully be doing more of these :)

Ps sorry for the lack of photos but both my phone and camera ran out of battery by the end :(
